I have received three very sad audios from Lama Padma Samten. His oldest son, who had brain cancer a year or so ago and was cured, had a very sharp headache followed by convulsion yesterday. They took him to hospital and found another tumor in the brain, this time bigger and more aggressive. Lama has decided to cancel his entire European teaching tour, including Portugal, UK, Italy, France and Switzerland.
He was about to fly from Brazil to Lisbon tomorrow but instead he is going to follow his son's new operation on Monday and support him through this very difficult time. He is very sorry for this big change and sends you all his love in the hope that he will meet you all sometime in the future.
Tanya and I have decided to go ahead with the retreat day with myself teaching on his behalf. I will dedicate the merits of its practice to his son and to Lama Padma Samten.
We know some of you have decided to book a place in this retreat specifically to see him and to learn from him. We are very sorry and are happy to refund you fully if you now decide to cancel your booking. However, if you still want to come and enjoy a full day of yoga, meditation, massage, relaxation, good food and nature, with Tanya and myself, please let me know.
