The Restorative Yoga class was nothing like I was anticipating, having had the idea that all yoga was about "weird poses on one leg", I had been fretting that it might require a "lot more balance than I have". It wasn't anything like that! It was, in fact, something far more empowering, and far less exhausting. The class gave my mind a chance to reconnect with the way my body could move. As Regina guided us through each of the slow movements, my body felt it was deep breathing from my toes to my ears and could reach a wonderful state of relaxation. In the past few months of attending Regina 's Thursday evening classes, I have been able to achieve a far healthier sleep-pattern, than I have in the past twenty years.
The way the "hold-that-position-for-five-minutes" exercises worked was that individually they allowed me to feel the flow of energy through my body, strengthening and stretching loosening and lengthening muscles, without the slightest loss of balance. Every move was supported by either the mat or a bolster. I am no where near as flexible as I used to be, but in just the few weeks I have attended Regina's classes, I have become far more aware of my mobility, and with her encouragement it is far better than I had thought it to be.
The entire evening felt enjoyable, safe and sustainable. Their was a gentleness throughout, a respect for every individual's abilities, without haste or strain simply embracing our own body's ability to be open-to-movement, and well-content in its own health.

I loved the retreat last week. It was a great mix of challenge. I liked that there was a tandem class available so people could choose their focus for the day and the chair massage was just awesome! I think it was a good balance of yoga and restorative practise with great food and socialising time included too. It didn't feel too rushed, infact I think the timing worked really well. I loved the retreat - from the opportunity to try different yoga classes to the fab lunch to the gorgeous venue and even the boat ride. I enjoyed the chair massage too - tho have to admit it's not my favourite form of massage. Overall, I could ask for nothing more - except that I am free next time you run one!

Just to let you know I have had one of the best nights sleep in a very long time.
Wasn't sure if I would last 3 hrs but, so well worth it.
While I can't do all of the movements correctly Regina adapts each exercise or me.

I think that it sometimes nice to acknowledge people for what they do for you. In that vain I would just like to say a big thank you for sticking with us for all those weeks when it was touch and go if we could continue the group. I think we have a great little group going on now. I know speaking with the girls that they all feel the benefit of your teaching and I for one (even though I moan and groan, puff and pant!) feel a greater connection with my body and surprisingly find my mind control really quite good now! So keep on doing what you're what you're doing as I for one really appreciate it.

Thai Yoga Massage - I highly highly recommend Regina's treatment. I have just had this today and immediately I am reaping the benefits. I feel taller, masses more flexible and mobile, all the tension I carry in my shoulders and neck has eased away and I cannot wait for the next treatment. It is a wonderful, deep, powerful form or massage for the whole body, top to toe, inside and out.

Such a wonderful yoga class this morning focusing on mudras and the flow of energy and intention. Next time you're in a yoga class, spend some time focusing on what your hands do... don't lose the energy flow by letting the wrists and hands go floppy. The main body of the posture might look pretty, but how does it FEEL? For me, using mudras are an amazing way to find the intention within the posture and to also notice how each pose feels when you are fully within it. Thank you Regina Padma Rintchen for always feeding my mind with more. This posture might look easy to some, but letting go of my lower backbend fear was a big step. Surrendering.

It's been over 3 year now that I started taking part in Regina's wonderful yoga practices. I am hardly your typical idea of a yoga student. I am not young, slender and female but an over weight, male pensioner. So what. I have always felt most welcome by Regina and all the other student and, even though my flexibility (or my fat belly) has sometime restricted me on achieving that really difficult posture it has always been fun trying . Regina bring light and warmth to those cold, dark winter evenings. I always say that I crawl reluctantly to her classes on a drab evening but fly home on a glowing warm cushion of new energy and happiness. I believe as we get older we are bound to feel a few more aches and pains but at least after doing yoga you know what caused them and deep down that they are doing you good and releasing some of that pent up youth and vigour that we all crave for as we age. So don't think it's not for you. Give it a go and just maybe, with Regina's expert help, you may achieve the new found piece with your aging body that I now feel.

I have been doing yoga with Regina for 5 years now, and she is still be best yoga teacher I've ever had. Her classes are always creative and different every week,with lovely added touches like lavender eye pillows for relaxation time! She makes me feel confident and she is always so encouraging. Her classes have a relaxed environment and she accommodates people of all levels of practice, always stretching and challenging me to try new things as well as regularly returning to key concepts. I have attended Regina's yoga classes and bought my sister a gift of attendance at a workshop, which she loved. I do not hesitate to recommend Regina as a wonderful instructor of Yoga. Regina, just to let you know that I managed to do the tree pose with my foot above my knee last night when I got home on one side only but only the once and have not been able to do it again since!!! I shall persist I really enjoyed the challenge of the balance sessions as I did struggle to start with but seemed to have improved and when I do stretches and incorporate the balance it seems to be a lot more relaxing. Onward and upward.
